You are surfing on friendster, trying to search for some long lost friends. Suddenly *tink!*, you saw this cute guy in one of the photos. What would you do?

1) Staring dreamily at his picture for hours and building sandcastles in the air. Is he The One?

2) Read his profile/testimonials to find out if his personality is as cute as his looks or entirely a different story. *kaypoh-lism*

3) Drop him a message immediately *love at first sight*: "hihi, can i be your friend? please, please, please?!!!"

4) Thought to yourself: "Cool Dude!" and click to elsewhere within 1 second to check out another picture.

For pixie, it's a choice between option 2 or 4. Likewise for many girls out there?? Sending a message spells desperado... call it a girl's pride or whatever. So, Nice guys won't get to meet Nice girls. Too Bad.

BUT... for the guys, maybe there are other options beside those mentioned earlier:

1) Thought to himself: okie, I will target this girl for now. Send a straight-to- the-point message: "hihi XXX mi wana be your friend, can" (terrible english, spelling the name wrongly and with no punctuation at all)

2) Target many girls. Change the name (XXX to YYY ) and send the same message to all at the same time. (No punctuation again.)

3) Decide to use another approach when failure arises. Use a softer approach by writing about how like-minded he and the girl are, relating to the girl's interests. "hihi, fellow fan of LOTR" But, the girl knows what exactly it boils down to: "hihi i wana be your friend"

4) Alternative approach: the guy can ask how the IT-blind girl feel about the friendster website as if he is conducting a survey on the behalf of friendster's management. *give me a break*

5) Another classic example of weak attempt: Try to sound funny by cracking a lame joke in a first time message.

Strangely, the guys will never comment on the girl's look (perhaps, intentionally to avoid... no one likes to be shallow). The girl starts to wonder: what if I replace my picture with a chimpanzee's picture? Will the guys write: "hihi chimpanzee, i wana be your friend"

Nun-Pixie's infamous theory: Nice girls may not appreciate these guys' friendliness or "colourwolf-ness" and let alone to reply back. Nice guys most probably won't do such friendly stuffs either. In the end, Nice girls won't meet Nice guys. Period.

Friendster is a place for dates? Nah, I give it a pass. Kinda scary and 'fake'... call it fakester. If only, those magical things in movies happen in real life... if only. Anyway, finding back my old friends from friendster is a better pleasure.

Forgive my paranoia and sarcasm.

You are a Loyal-Protector (yeah! i'm a protector! *patriotic face*)

Famous Loyal Protectors: George Washington; George Bush; Mother Teresa

You are a master at managing complex operations, and are extremely skilled in communication and working with people. You are imbued with a sense of duty and can always be trusted on to see a project through.

You have a sense of duty and a steady temperament.

Recommended style for the Loyal-Protector: Zen
The design style which best expresses your personality is the Zen look. As you do not like clutter, you prefer a style that is streamlined, sleek and stylish. You are clearly sophisticated and fashionable, and enjoy this very “in” style.

yuppy, i agreed for mine too... I love zen, man!
